This is how I would finish your piece

This is what I would *attempt* to do if I were going to finish your piece. Repeat what you have once, then write a new section in a starkly contrasting key. It would be easiest to use the parallel or relative keys. Once you have written this new B section, transition back to the beginning. However, embellish the hell out of it with bigger chords and thicker harmonies. Maybe add one counter melody (in the bass perhaps?) , although that isn't entirely necessary. If you do that, your piece will look like this: AABA.

One last piece of advice: When you write your B section pay conscious attention to the melody in the A section. Do write a new melody, but make sure this melody is related to the original melody in the A section. Recreate the A section melody in a creative way in a new key with darker (or brighter), contrasting harmonies. It should be different enough that it sounds like a new melody, but similar enough that they retain the same fundamental elements.

this is what a review should be :D not any of that bollocks just like 'this woz crap do betta plz' :P thanks for the advice, me and a friend of mine have actually extended this piece to about 7 minutes or so now :P and boy does it change ;) might end up on here but otherwise itll be on myspace at some point when its all done : )

I've always loved FFIX and this music in particular. This is not a bad performance, although it sounds rushed in a number of places. It could be 'more perfect' and it could be played more vibrantly and with greater emotion. However, it is not an especially bad performance. Thanks for sharing and keep playing!
